Yosemite National Park in California's Sierra Nevada Mountains is a place of stunning beauty, and a great place for a relaxed or an adventurous family vacation!  We opted for the former and just took in all the beauty.

X is for Xanadu

Dictionary.com defines Xanadu as a place of great beauty, luxury and contentment. I experienced such things at Sandals Resorts in Jamaica!

V is for Venice

Venice has so much to see and do, but for me, none of it equals the charm of the gondolas.  My favorite is when the gondola nearby has a serenade! (Cuz I'm too frugal to pay for my own! LOL

U is for Universal Orlando

Universal Orlando is 3 theme parks in one and an awesome family destination.

 Staying at the Portofino Bay is a little taste of visiting Italy.  Its gorgeous setting, evening serenades on the piazza, and delicious food make it a first rate resort.  Also, staying here, entittled us to Unlimited Express passes to skip the lines - a very much appreciated perk during spring break crowds. (Loews Royal Pacific Resort and the Hard Rock Cafe Hotel get you the same perk!)

Volcano Bay Waterpark is a blast.  Definitely want to take advantage of the Early Park Admission that comes with staying at Universal Orlando resort.

Visit Hogwarts at Islands of Adventure - just one of the many great attractions there.

Universal Studios has thrill rides, fun shows in the streets, and of course more Harry Potter - at Diagon Alley, where you will find Platform 9-3/4 and the Hogwarts Express over to Hogwarts Castle in Islands of Adventure when you have a Park to Park ticket.

When you're crazy enough to take the train from Bologna to Rome for just 1 day, you have to severely limit what you see, but we managed to see the Colosseum, the Forum and the Piazza Navona and have a great, albeit exhausting day. I highly recommend MANY more days!!
